My apology for not being able to reply your previous mail. Aside from rankings, VL is a good source where one may need fin.information in a hurry. I personally prefer primary than secondary info to make a decision and that's the sole reason I had not read any VL for the past 5 years. Based on what you said, I am amazed VL assigned safety ranking of 4 when in fact LSCC has no debt, @$10 cash per share, delivered positive earnings year after year, weather semi downturn better than some of its competitors and industry in particular. that's a good example why I have foregone VL completely. In sum, VL does not predict, it reports. To Aquino: Institutional holdings work both ways- up in this case. If one bought at $40 plus, he would hold on and/or add to his holdings given much improved balance sheet, semi upturn and its product competitiveness. Hope I am right on this one.
