As long as population increases, so will the demand for energy. They are dependent upon each other. It will be the lack of affordable oil to generate crops to feed the masses which will result in population decline Till then it will be supply Vs demand which will determine the price of oil and energy. with population ever increasing. Forecasting an increase of 30 to 40% by 2050, and the cheaper oil and energy sources being used up. The long term price has no alternative but to escalate. Environmental concerns mean nothing to a starving world. Eventually Mother nature will have the final word.
