ACT Labs Force-Feedback Steering Wheel Update.
Subject: ACT LABS - RS Update Date: Mon, 22 Dec 1997 15:11:01 -0800 From: Brandon Crick <nitro@actlab.com>
Hey all, this is an update release which was sent to the press. It's been a little while since my last update. Things having been coming along well and If you have any questions about the RS definetly send me an email. One of the rumors that had been cruisin' around was that we had been contacted by Atari regarding a 'force-feedback' type patent they held. This is true but to our knowledge ALL joystick manufacturers with wheels in development had been sent the same fax. We don't see this being a problem and are addressing the issue which has been the main reason for delay. Things are looking good though and I apologize on behalf of the staff gamers here that we could not get the RS into your hands in time for the holidays. Here's the official release and again, any questions you have gimme a shout. Thanks and stay tuned,

PRESS RELEASE
ACT LABS RACING SYSTEMS TO BE RELEASED IN 1998
VANCOUVER, CANADA, December 22, 1997 - ACT LABS, developers of cutting-edge game peripherals, announced today that its upcoming racing systems, the Force RS and the ACT LABS RS will be released in the 1st quarter of 1998.
"If we stuck with a Christmas release for the wheels, we would have compromised on the quality of our product," commented Gary Coey, Sales Manager at ACT LABS. "We'd rather live up to the high standards we've set with our previous releases."
Coey also acknowledged that the racing systems have generated a great amount of anticipation within the gaming community. "There has been a huge build-up of positive press for the Force RS and the ACT LABS RS in print and online media, and we hope to carry that into the new year. I have spoken to a number of end-users who are chomping at the bit for our systems."
The Force RS is ACT LABS' force feedback racing system, which supports Immersion Corp.'s I-FORCE technology. The ACT LABS RS incorporates a revolutionary cartridge design which allows for multi-system racing on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn.
