The question you have to ask is whether the narrative is true. If she was pulled over for nothing more than a seat belt violation, the cops are in the wrong, period, as they escalated the situation beyond reason for that particular violation.

But this is the problem with idiotic laws like seat belt laws. It is just one more gateway to having government interfere in your life. And the people who said, "Seat belt laws save lives, therefore, we need them" are the people created these incidents (keeping in mind a young woman died in TX as a result of a similar absurd traffic stop).
