Hi Bob, Alan is not here so I will be glad to answer your question. We have a New Testament in Hebrew and the Lords actual name given Him at His (Circumsion) was Yeshua Ben Yosef. In english translations that ends up Jesus the son of Joseph. The reason I use this name is because the English translation is not totally correct. The Hebrew name given Him by the angel Gabriel means Salvation the same name as Joshua who led the Israelites into the promised land as the Lord has led all of us into the eternal promised land. That is what Yeshua means to me and why I use that name and the name Jesus Christ also because He was also the Anointed One of the God of Abraham.Thank you for your courteous question.
