You know, it is funny you mention that, I was just looking on newegg
yesterday, just for fun, and I could not believe the deals now--decent
PCs, at least for office work and such, $150--as you say, off lease HP
and Dell and such.

I think on these 3-5 year old w7 pcs you ought to be able to update to
w10 and have a perfectly good PC. Sometimes there doesn't look like
a lot of room for a dedicated video card, but who cares for office work.

I know a lot of folks are going to tablets and such--I'm sure I'd like
that new msft Surface that is coming out, but the most important thing
really to me is the software, a decent keyboard/mouse, and something
at or above a 19" monitor. I guess it is my eyes, working at arms length
is much more comfortable than a tablet up closer to my eyes, even if
I have my reading glasses on (instead of my pc eyeglasses).

At work I have fairly square 19" monitors and a 24" widescreen, pretty
nice setup...W7 on the PC, redhat on the workstation. My wide pc
monitor is new, but it sure has a pinkish cast, got to fix that somehow.
