In my mind this is a copper and zinc play with gold, silver and lead credits. Drilling off the copper zone is key at this point of the exploration program since the copper represents the vent of the VMS system. Once the orientation of the vent has been determined, location of the zinc zone will fall into place. Then in-fill drilling to build reserves becomes less complicated. Todays announcement is telling me the vent has been found (bornite mineralization in hole 31) with some continuity to the copper zone over good widths greater than 30ft and respectable grades 3%. I think majors in the copper and zinc business monitoring the story will begin to get excited over this new development. Many copper deposits will remain potential mine properties because of poor economics...low copper value,cost of building mill\smelter, expensive mining methods,shipping,politics,environmental problems etc. etc. Think about it, Cross has every potential copper zinc deposit beat because the expensive infrastructure is already in place (Kidd Smelter) and a developed market (Falconbridge commitment to operate in Timmins). Assuming a decent reserve is outlined, this deposit will be mined cheaper and quicker than any other potential deposit on the go today. IMO this is the best speculative resource stock today with upside potential from drilling results, reserve estimates and potential takeover. I am accumulating stock at these levels and holding for the new year. Other than the day traders(love you guys) have any insight to Cross situation. I'm feeling lonely here, help me out!
