The time clock for filing in the courts is two years, but that time is determined from the last instance of defamation, not the first. Nor does it depend on notice to cease and desist. The latter establishes the legality of an eventual claim for damages, but, as I said, the 2-year clock is from the last event. You're supposed to know when to stop, eh?
