Several thoughts about your "Beating the Dow" post. 1. The Fool-4 beat the DJIA (which includes the Fool-4 plus 26 other companies) by 9 points. The other 26 DJIA stocks, collectively, must have produced returns even lower than the NASDAQ. 2. Of course, even the other 26 DJIA stocks beat the pants off of the semiconductor index (SOXX). quote.yahoo.com^soxx&d=1y 3. 3M looks like it may make next year's list. It's probably a stock worth watching, but there's no hurry to jump in, IMO. Best wishes, I2
