Of course not. That's my point. They should not and cannot do more.

The tools that are available to them only concern monetary policy. The problem is that these tools are currently being used and abused to make up for the weaknesses of this current economic recovery. We can both agree on this.

What I disagree on is what Janet Yellen gets out of all of this, if she's supposedly smart enough to know where this will inevitably lead. Cause when it all comes crashing down, we will not have the tools left to deal with the next recession, and the finger-pointing will begin. And many will point to Yellen as one of the fall guys (gals?), just like Greenspan was when the dot-com bubble collapsed.

That's not a position that Yellen wants to find herself in, I'd imagine. But maybe I'm giving her too much credit, and that she really is living in a bubble of denial.
