Go to the link below and listen. Bear in mind the stats on cardiac events indicate they go hand in hand with increased wealth, productive american agriculture, and increased rich diets. In a word, "they are back." What are back? As a medical lecturer at a University used to say after a curious student asked him one day what his phrase he led his lectures off with meant, they are heart disease, cancer and other lifestyle illnesses. What did he mean "back"? Back after the second world war. Increase in rich foods, increase in disease. "They" are "back" and still with us. I think this link's message on POP's is good. Insecticides and herbicides are oxidants essentially.

The message of this blurb, its method, e.g. endless intro backing into the feared 'solution" being strictly commercial, notwithstanding, is good. Sure it is an ad. But it info is good, still.

The idea however that fats are good, is specious. The trouble is too rich foods, including gobs and fat combined with loads of simple carbs (pogue's sugar etc) are a culprit when they are NOT combined with plenty of anti oxies.

Thing that raise HDL, i.e. exercise, pantethine*, niacin have been with us for years. Sterols, which decrease fat uptake have been around for millenia. Fat uptake HAS to decrease plaque. Of course it isn't the only answer. IT is clear that heart attacks were decreased by high mono unsat and poly unsat fat diets when combined with lots of fruit and veggies (anti oxies) e.g. French and Mediterranean diets.

Without oxidation, inflammation is no longer a threat to your heart.

* pantethine is a diabetic safe metabolite of vitamin B5. It is available from AOR and others over the counter. It raises HDL safely. With no side effects.
