Well, there are a number of them (notably, a bunch of them to the south of us), but we can agree it isn't a great club to be a member of.

But that does not suggest that any cause-and-effect at all.

In fact, gun violence in the US peaked in '93:



This is just widespread misunderstanding, promulgated by the Democrat party, leading to the idea of controlling guns. It will not be effective as is clear from the data of the last 30 or 40 years. Yet, people's rights will have been taken away, government will be perceived to have done what it could do, and the problem will continue.

I don't know how many times we have to make the same core mistakes before we start learning from them. Political knee jerks do not solve problems.
