The wars were fiscally significant in the short run but not even close to a majority of the spending increase. In the long run they aren't even significant, its almost all about entitlements (and interest on the debt but that's because of other spending so you can just increase the impact of everything else proportionally. Do that and its not just entitlements above anything else, but entitlements well above everything else combined.)

As for stimulus it was a lot of waste for little effect.

If you take those away....well guess what.....no massive debt!

Less massive debt, not "no massive debt"
