This problem is far more serious than a single co-op failing. At least six are now failed and at least 11 more are, frankly, going to. I suspect they'll all be dead within a few years.

Even more serious is this comment from last week:

"Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell announced on Thursday that an estimated 10 million Americas would be covered by Obamacare by the end of 2016, an increase of roughly 100,000 over the current year’s enrollment. That’s a lot lower than many were expecting. The Congressional Budget Office in June predicted 20 million Americans would be covered by the end of next year."

So, essentially, new enrollments appear to be totally dead. They are very likely to end 2016 with fewer members than they have when the end of 2015 rolls around.

We're going to need some serious capital injections to solve these problems. But because of Obama's unwillingness to work with Congress it will have to wait until he's gone. Maybe, a year from January, we can get some insurance companies to come back into these systems and start to solve some of the problems.
