Hi Jerry, I do track VIX and other sentiment measures such as
EPC and all sorts of put/call ratios. Those things can be useful in
extreme situations like Bernie said. Today INDU/OEX/SPX stopped
around their 50emas...sort of expected as so many people have been
adviced to sell into any rally. Needless to say we are in a decisive
downtrend almost everywhere you look. Yet I see a tradable short-term
pop here...echoing Judy's view. Again I like to be in stocks ...
rather than indices, for examples, SUNW/GTW/GILD are breaking out
or poised to break out. Some under deep water stocks are also
interesting: DD's/ASND/SYBS/AMD. Judy and I talked about
SOX participating the next rally...I like AMAT/ALTR/TLAB.
Y2K stocks still have a lot of miles left...

Warm regards.
