I just read highlights on the Asia thread. It is informative and there seems to be a diversity of input.

To my simple mind, a topic the size of "Asia" is just too big.
There are at least 7-8 totally different economies, and as it was
pointed out, to lump all "Asians" together, would be the same as lumping all "non-Asians" together.

Even China is a very diverse country as one travels from region to region. I've attempted to learn about HK & China from afar for 12
years. The only thing I am certain of is I know very very little.

On the other hand, you do have a very accurate understanding of electricity. Even in the U.S., to get a 220 or 440 line run into your
home is not an everday occurence. (I still use an old-fashioned razor to shave, just in case I do go overseas. One less converter to buy. <g>)
