I recorded the last two innings of games 6 and 7 of the Mets-Red Sox World Series, thinking of the dramatic history that was about to be made. It sure was dramatic, but not in the way I expected. I watched the tape several years later, and remember thinking how did they possibly lose? There were numerous 'this is it, last strike' moments, and even the Mets catcher had gone into the dugout to undress as I recall.

I remember thinking Bill Buckner gets all the blame but that was just icing on the cake; they had really blown it earlier in the inning.

I probably still have that tape somewhere but doubt if I have a machine capable of playing whatever format it was in. Would almost be fun to watch, now that they've gotten a couple rings.
