I'll bet those road warriors in the Outback would even like the boots, hats, and artiifacts.

Here's a straw man list of rules for the contest.

1. Closing ASK on 12/31/97 to Closing BID on 12/31/98.

I pick this because I know one BB that can triple just by going from a sell to a buy because of the ridiculous spread.

2. Stock must have an NYSE, NASDAQ, American, or US Bulletin Board/pink sheet symbol.

Just for ease of verification and tracking.

3. Winner is the one with the greatest % increase from the 12/31/97 closing ASK to the 12/31/98 closing BID.

This would most closely respond to YOUR ACTUAL RATE OF RETURN were you to have bought on 12/31/97 and sold on 12/31/98.

4. All picks must be made BEFORE 0930EST on Jan 2, 1998.

5. If multiple picks are made then they will be combined as if they constituted a single stock.

For example, if the first pick was at .25 and the second pick was .10, then it would be treated as a single pick at .35.

6. In the event of splits, all start prices will be readjusted as appropriate.

7. In the event your pick is bought out for shares in the acquiring company, that company's stock price will replace your pick. Dividends will be added to the ending 1998 stock price.

Talk amongst yourselves.
