In a College Marketing class it was taught that there are
3 phases for a new product or Invention and the example given is
usually when the ball point pen was invented.
Phase 1: Comes out at a high price and there are those that just
have to have it rather then wait for the Price to go down.
Phase 2: More producers/manufacturers come on Line and more
Consumers but at that reduced price due to Competition.
Phase 3: Market for Product is Saturated and Price is low and everybody is buying it ie when Microwave Ovens went from $1000
to less than $100 or Ball point pens from $10 to $.25.

There are some Hackers and Avid Gamers who just have to have the
Pentium II.
