Sean, thanks for the insight! i'm just starting out and trying out ta software, in time it may help to soften the huge market hammer thats been pounding my head in lately... i download from aol in metastock format and convert 1 file at a time into parity and was trying to find a batch file converter, yes major pain! if i could code a routine i would but i need to be smarter than what i'm working on so far i've checked out tc2000, q+ and now parity they all seem somewhat limited in various ways. of course when i look at a chart i have this blank stare on my face, but i would still like to start learning with the best tools in my court. would you suggest metastock? and please clue me in..PERL?? code? thanks bdog
