I'm glad you referenced the Thai baht situation as it has some parallels to the latest story in Greece. Asian contagion worry from 1997 was similar to the European worries of the past year. It's important to note that Thailand is probably 1.5 times the size of Greece, economically speaking and probably more when taken in the context of trade within the 2 regions.

In the future, we might see that Glencore's recent troubles may have strong parallels to LTCM, even if they are coming from different catalysts.
