Thoughts on IDX settleing....

In response to your query as to why Fowler would settle, I would suspect that the decision was not his. The news I read indicated that the bulk of the settlement was being funded by insurance money, with the remainder from IDX reserves. If that is accurate, as I suspect it is, then the insurance company would be able to influence the decision regarding settlement. And, as you all know, often settling is the prudent business decision in the face of large potential legal fees.
