Feline, Grant, I am not in a position to comment on the syntax of "covered" versus "uncovered". But I would like clarification on Grant;s statement that a house only has to declare a short position if their entire short position is greater than 1/2 half of the shares they hold?

From Grant, he states that it is 1/2 of of all shares held by the house and its clients? Is this still true.

I think feline is correct in stating that is against the law to use an individuals fully paid account holdings of a given stock as part of that total.

My question is simply: Are all short positions being reported and if not does anyone have a resonable guess as to the amount that is unreported?
