They just need to convince Congress that's there's enough votes in it for them like the corn ethanol states. After all it's just other peoples tax money. Europe is much worse when it comes to subsidizing alternative energy and it's done here as well.The only point to argue is when fossil fuels will be replaced. I doubt it within 10 years. Boone Pickens abandoned wind when gas prices collapsed, but he would only have made money if the subsidies were in place. Right now and foreseeable future it's natural gas fired power generation as the direction to go with. They need to improve energy storage to overcome the base load problem with wind and solar.
