Progressives aren’t progressives unless they are progressing. The blitzkrieg campaign to browbeat the herd into accepting the homosexual lifestyle as normal and healthy has been such a staggering success that you had to know they would immediately press on to take the next hill:
There is a danger of becoming hysterical about paedophilia and seeing it everywhere, like witches at Salem, or “Commies” in Hollywood during McCarthyism. Paedophiles do exist, but there are very few of them and not all are child molesters. It is possible to be attracted to children as a sexual orientation without acting upon those desires.
In my studies of the Paedophile Information Exchange in the 1980s, many members admitted sexual feelings for children which they had been able to contain or turn to social good. Some gravitated toward occupations such as schoolteacher or social worker, where they could enjoy the company of children without plotting abuse. This fitted with personality profiles indicating that they were gentle, rational and not disposed to harm anybody.

It’s actually wicked normal people who abuse children, not pedophiles:

Besides, the age of consent is “arbitrary.”
After the homosexuality push, this is déjà vu all over again.
First it is destigmatized. Then it is celebrated. Then those who indulge in it are given special privileges. Eventually they will find a way to make it mandatory.
In utopia, all innocence will be eradicated.

What planet am I living on? Is this not the THIRD article at a large media outlet within the last few months trying to sell me on the idea that pedophiles are people, too? Am I supposed to find comfort that these people can channel their attraction to children into professions such as teaching? Why are Salon, Gawker, and the Independent publishing material like this, asking readers to accept ethically and morally despicable behavior?
I'm not entirely unsympathetic, as it must be torturous to have sexual feelings that are reviled by society, but there's a REASON such inclinations are loathed, and that's because it is child abuse. I mean I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I find this spate of articles defending what is indefensible not only baffling, but deeply disconcerting.
And I'm willing to bet that the people defending this nonsense would think twice before knowingly allowing an admitted pedophile anywhere near their own children.

In other news, some wolves have decided to become vegetarians, and have gravitated towards occupations where they can contain their carnivorous feelings or turn them to social good. Occupations such as chicken farmer or sheepdog, where they could enjoy the company of their prey without plotting to eat them. |
