WJ - S. Korea got another few $bill from the World Bank yesterday. Unlike most World Bank disbursements, the payment wasn't earmarked for a particular project, but instead was to be used "as S. Korea saw fit."

At the same time, S. Korea met with a consortium of bankers to explain the "full extent" of their debt crisis "for the first time.". Both these stories suggest S. Korea is on the verge of default any day. As the sources for immediate cash seem to be exhausted, looks as though some debt re-negotiation is now unavoidable.
