Meanwhile, at Friday’s close the Contest median was up 7.27% YTD (vs. up 6.65% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 7.33% YTD (vs. up 3.74% YTD a week ago), while the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index was up 7.46% YTD (vs. up 5.74% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.71% YTD (vs. up 6.25% YTD a week ago).
MOPGCW’s portfolio, up 62.92% YTD, had a fine week and widened its Contest lead. Second place DANIEL’S portfolio, up 41.56% YTD, was hurt by the REPH drop, but still managed to edge out third place DONS’ portfolio, up 41.46% YTD.
At the week’s close, 36 of the 51 Contest portfolios were in the green with 25 beating the NBI and 25 also beating the SPSIBI. The 206 Contest stock picks now have an average YTD gain of 1.65% and a median YTD loss of -9.52%.
