If you have the chance I wonder if you could read the commentary on page 16 of last Sundays's NY Times Money and Business section by Burton Malkiel and J. P. Mei, "Why Asia's Tigers Will Roar Again." Although Malkiel did not predict the stock market bubble in the US for the later 1990s, as far as I know, his analyses have proved most valuable over the past two decades. He thinks this may be viewed as "an extraordinary buying opportunity." (For the Asian markets).

The article is too long for me to key in.
