Great picture, I'm sorry I missed the trip. Hard to say whether we would've made a profit are not. I started two days ago at the Bellagio playing hold em and got about $500 ahead, interestingly I found my poker skills seemed just fine even though I haven't played in a long time. I was actually sort of puzzled by it.

Then I moved over to a $20/$40, $30/$60 kill Omaha game and stayed about $500 ahead for several hours and then got a 13 to one bad beat on the river in a gigantic pot, and was a couple of hundred down so I quit and cut my losses. I was getting tired. The folks at that table were by and large world-class players and there must've been $20,000 at the table if not more. And they play every day together.

But it was scary driving down the strip to get to the Bellagio, so the next day, I went to the Orleans which is on the outskirts and I could drive to without great trepidation of hitting someone. I played in a $8/$16, $12/$24 kill pot Omaha game and got a couple hundred ahead and after several hours the noise and smoke got to me and I left. So I'm about even now.

If I had played with the groups money, I would've played something safe like at $10/$20 hold 'em game that I can beat about 75% of the time. But on any given day who knows?

Today I'm going to take the day off and rest, and drive to Hoover dam. I'm curious if the recent rains are having any impact on the water level. The sunshine has been wonderful and if you are outside the strip it is rather pretty. I do like the large streets like Sahara.

The place I'm staying in is just wonderful, so quiet you can hear a pin drop an it has a wonderful pool out back that is warmer than my in door pool at home and I've never seen anybody swim in it, but me. And the people running it are wonderful. So that part of my experience has been fine.

I'll go back to the Bellagio tomorrow, and just play the $20/$40 $40/$80 hold 'em game until I leave. I think I've had enough of Omaha. At the game yesterday a fellow told me a back door way of getting to the club that does not involve the strip. He said to go down Flamingo and one can drive right up to valet parking.

I am enjoying the peace and quiet. Sorry I missed it, but as mentioned on the other thread I just had too much work to do and I needed to get my educational requirements out of the way. Hopefully you'll invite me next time.
