If you accept that CO2 is a causal factor in changing climate, rather than a passive follower of changes being imposed by other things... what the data show is that CO2 drives precipitous global cooling... And, given the pace of our current liberation of previously sequestered fossil carbon... that should have us cooling more rapidly now than the planet has historically... which proposed effect on the trends we should be able to judge properly in another 10,000 to 15,000 years...
