Perhaps. But its also an entirely irrelevant idea. No one was presenting to you the idea that children can not learn. If they couldn't learn then starting school early wouldn't give any benefits (at least not educational benefits), and no one claimed that was the case. The claim is rather that their are early benefits. That the children who start early are ahead in early grades. But that the advantage doesn't last, and before middle school/junior high they are about even with the kids who didn't start early.
