That is because it is installed as the default browser I can do that with many of my programs on the Mac. For some I elect to use Communicator and for some I elect to use the smaller Nav3.01. The user of Win 98, I am sure will be able to do the same thing but he will also get a brownie point from DOJ. After you accumulate so many points you will get a junior GMan or JMan badge. IE will be imbedded into Word and probably all of their other applications as the input from the web is as important as the input from the keyboard. It seems that some keyboards have very little thought based input.
