Bernie Sanders Spends $2 Mil on Ad to Tell Americans He Never Worked for a Living
This is just like Obama. He never had a real job either, not counting the snowcone making job when he was a teen.
Bernie Sanders ripped off unemployment for a living.
Bernie Sanders, America's greatest living Socialist, has blown $2 million on an ad to introduce the unpleasant shrieking little man to America. It glosses over his Jewishness. His father is instead described as a "Polish immigrant". And it really glosses over his history of not working for a living. Instead the bland announcer tells us that he went to school and then college... "where the work of his life began."
The audience is shown a photo of Martin Luther King, possibly hoping that viewers decide that after college, Bernie Sanders moonlighted as MLK. (He did not.) And told that his work was "fighting injustice and inequality" not to mention "speaking truth to power".
More accurately Bernie Sanders ripped off unemployment for a living.
Liberty Union “people found it difficult to support themselves while engaging in full-time political work,” Michael Parenti, one of those people, wrote in the Massachusetts Review in the summer of 1975. “Some held jobs that allowed free time for campaign activities, while others lived off unemployment insurance.”
Sanders, according to an article in 1974 in the Bennington Banner, was one of them. He was on unemployment for a few months in 1971. In subsequent Liberty Union campaigns he advocated for “the doing away with all time limitations for unemployment benefits.”
“The electricity was turned off a lot,” Barnett said. “I remember him running an extension cord down to the basement. He couldn’t pay his bills.”
He worked some as a carpenter, although “he was a shitty carpenter,” Bloch told me. “His carpentry,” Morrisseau said, “was not going to support him, and didn’t.”...
“He was always poor,” Sandy Baird, another old friend, told me in Burlington.
“Virtually unemployed,” said Nelson, the political science professor at the University of Vermont.
"That summer, not quite 23, he and his wife, Deborah Sanders, bought for $2,500 some property in Vermont, near Montpelier in the town of Middlesex off Shady Rill Road, according to property records."
"He explained the origin of the money Sanders used to buy the Middlesex land and the carpentry he did on the sugar shack. He said Sanders received unemployment, “for a few months,” in 1971, though Sanders can’t remember what the job was that qualified him for the benefits."
Speaking truth to power... but mainly stealing money from working people.
Bernie Sanders was a parasite who eventually managed to wrangle a government job and never looked back. His idea of working for a living has been living off taxpayers.
It's funny that the media has challenged Marco Rubio on his financial issues, but won't talk about Bernie Sanders being a professional bum who lived off unemployment while trying to get into politics.
So now Bernie Sanders has gotten some suckers to put up money so he can promote his career living off taxpayers as he contends for a job in the White House with an even higher taxpayer-paid salary, which he's hoping to get by promising free stuff to voters.
You can see why Bernie Sanders likes free stuff. Working for a living just isn't his thing.
