I was just pointing out that he didn't necessarily take the Court's words as gospel.
Look, Carson's every remark is amplified right now because some David Corn somewhere is trying to make a big name for himself. Last night, Corn had a big headline, "Carson Says Many Americans Stupid." It just sounds bad. But when you listen to the FIFTEEN SECOND clip in its totality it is nothing like that.
He says Americans aren't as stupid as some think they are -- although many are stupid. This, of course, is a perfectly true, uncontroversial comment, which the liberal media chose to go after Carson with.
Today, the Daily Beast has an article, "Carson was sued for malpractice eight times." How is that even a relevant comment? Which surgeon has NOT been sued for malpractice eight times out of 10s of thousands of cases? I don't know one. Never have.
Yesterday, some idiot wrote an article in NYT about how Carson wasn't even running for president, he was just being an entertainer trying to make money.
You [collectively] are underestimating him. He may not become the nominee, of course -- it is a very, very long road from here. But he is not an idiot and if you try to play it that way it may just backfire on you. Because at the end of the day people are going to take seriously a man who saved many lives doing delicate brain surgeries on children. Arguably, the greatest brain surgeon ever to live. |
