It lost in Ohio. I wonder if it was the monopoly issue (essentially an insider scam) or real sentiment about legalization???

I was surprised to find that in my new state NC possession of small amounts has almost been decriminalized. Officially less than 1/2 ounce max penalty is $200 fine. But looking in the local paper, all the pot busts of less than 1/2 ounce were a $50 fine. By comparison driving 12 miles over the speed limit was a $200 fine. Which all makes sense but still is surprising. Especially in the South.
