I've wondered the same thing. I think that you definitely will get signal degradation going wireless from your PC to the TV. Does the Encore card have component video or S-video connectors? The best solution is a direct connection between your PC and TV, with an RF wireless remote control/keyboard for your PC. Just what you need, a wireless keyboard on your coffee table...
