When the black and poor communities look at their lives now vs. 1965, they are certainly better but it is primarily because of technology improvements, not because of anti-poverty programs. IMO.

And I think these people can be made to realize that if reasonable people can be heard on the issue. But the voices are loud. It may take soft-spoken to cut through the noise, oddly enough...
