Carson was so soft spoken they were saying he would not have any staying power but he is beginning to be listened to more and more. Maybe this is the emergent leadership style we have been waiting for.

I remember a classroom that was out of control when I was a principle. We put several teachers in on trial and it seemed hopeless until this old woman who had retired from the Archdioces came in. I watched as she entered the room and sat on a small stool in front of the boards. She called the students forward and had them sit on the floor and began speaking so low it was almost a whisper. They listened and she had them eating out of the palm of her hands the rest of the year. She was a master teacher in other ways but I will never forget that amazing turn around of those wild students.
