The sun! I've heard from many who strongly support CO2-based warming mentioning the sun is "constant". They also say models show no impact of varying solar radiation. However, they are referring to solar radiation. Models do not take into account pressure/forces with solar flares/wind.

My theory, which I will examine one day, is that the atmosphere is made up of many see-saws. For example, the typical heat wave west coast and cold wave east coast. Right now, the see-saw is flipped. As the see-saw is flipped, the patterns of storms have their own characteristics. When the see-saw flips the other way, the the patterns of storms change. The solar flares play a vital role in flipping the see-saws.

NYT ironically supports a 'sig hiel' approach to CO2-based global warming. They claim skeptics are worse than Hitler. They also just presented an article linking Exxon to tobacco companies in being an antagonist to the human race. Ahem? Life expectancy and fossil fuel use correlate 100% over the last 100 years.

Here's an article from NYT showing how solar winds greatly impacts Mars's atmosphere. It's one step away from asking, if solar wind can impact Mars, can it impact Earth? They won't acknowledge that any time soon, because hubris is their flaw.

Once obsession with CO2 affecting the climate is gone (I wish), then real research will cultivate great minds to study true cause-and-effect.
