Yeah, but it does say he paints glossy pictures of himself. Years ago my wife read his book and was quite enamored of it, and all I saw was a guy who was excellent at promoting himself. I suspect a lot of his reputation as "the nations top pediatric neurosurgeon" is in fact similar to this story. He did a good job of polishing his reputation, but what others actually saw or thought of him, who knows??
