The compromise will prolong the agony. And with the leftist controling most of MSM - they will blame republicans for that agony. What we will have is 4 or 8 years of almost no real changes while republican president is busy compromising with socialists followed by 8 years of executive ruling of socialists.

That is why electing moderate republicans willing to compromise is pointless. The only way out is to rebrand republican party and winning young minds and part of MSM as the result. Then they can be educated about shortcomings of socialism. But it is impossible to win young people if you are social conservative. Not in 21st century. If republicans realize this and drop this Bible nonsense, then young people will start listening to them.
