Shrug. I didn't through your google search, but yes, it might have occurred anyway. The extent to which Global Warming had any influence isn't known. And whether global warming has anything to do with people isn't known and certainly hasn't been proved. AFAIK, it has nothing to do with people.

Now, there are all kinds of correlations of odd things but as you know that doesn't suggest that one causes another.

In effect, the claim that it has anything to do with GW is essentially bunk. Another layer of bunk on top of the layer claiming GW is caused by people.
