Eric,
To me it's as simple as - you go to another country to live and become one of them, not setup another version of the place you left in hopes of eventually taking over. That's an invasion.
Still hard for me to believe that they want to take over everything, rather than simply live in whatever enclaves they set up for themselves.

But after today's events, I'm not sure what to believe anymore.

One thing's for sure. You can't contain this problem. You have to eliminate it. Or pray that someone else will.
