Depends where u live, access to sun etc. but if your looking for a for instance I'm currently putting in a 13.44 kw ground station. Break even for me I estimate (including tax write off) is between 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 years. So if it adds value to my house after that time it would be a bonus.
