Mostly I agree with Noam: "The chaos and destabilization are real, but I don't think that's the aim. Rather, it is a consequence of hitting fragile systems that one does not understand with the sledgehammer that is the main tool," Translation- we're too stupid and klutzy to "nation build". Give that shit up. Stop wasting the cash and the blood. I think we'd probably all be better off absent Bush's foolish bungles in the ME. I'd like the US to follow the first rule of holes- and stop digging in the ME.
