Blue ....

when they did answer did you get the statement ===== "sorry to have kept you waiting"

how are things north of the Mason-Dixon line?

I've been busy cutting up granite slabs into countertops ... polishing the stuff, cutting sinks and faucet holes and just having a merry ol time.

Mar decided she wanted the kitchen redone *(again) so i built the cabinets and put in new granite tops.

Had to buy some lifting/moving/hauling equipment so just decided to redo my s i l /daughters house they moved out of last year and that led to several of my buddies asking me to do theirs too..... finishing up a new house that took three slabs tomorrow for a good friend.

I designed a work/installation table that operates on casters and uses leverage to tilt ..... reason being that the island slab in our kitchen is 50"x118" and weighs in about 800 lbs.
Called a moving company to get an estimate and they wanted $500 to simply bring it from my driveway and set it on the island cabinet ... distance on the same level of appx 35 ft ...... I busted out laughing as the guy is a good friend when he said "I figure I'm a bit high" ..... LOL

Using my table sometime this week I think I can get it done with two folks as I've limited myself to picking up no more than 50 lbs.... handled several chunks over 400 by myself using my equipment.
