Off the top of my head, I believe Noah and the flood are referenced.

Legends of a great, world-wide flood are very common throughout the region and history. You can find an account in the epic of Gilgamesh, for example. But that is far from the only example. The broad outline is the same, a man inspired by his god to build a great boat to same a population of people and animals that seed the new world after the old one is destroyed, but the details differ.
