Teck does nothing which does not require the use of oil other than the wind farm which was built to gain carbon credits. They aren't going to mine copper, zinc or any other mineral with Solar or battery powered D 9s, excavators, or Haul Trucks. Nor are they going to fly in crews on electric powered airplanes any time soon. Or move the concentrate to markets with Solar trains and trucks. Not to mention using Deep sea ships. Are they going to power them with Dolphins?

Oil is blamed for the so called climate change. Well oil has been in the ground for millions of years. They have recently used more oil in order to feed the massive expansion in the population.

If you wish to control the use of oil. Just reduce and control the population that uses it to survive.
By bringing the numbers down to 4 or 5 billion Worldly inhabitants That in turn will reduce the use of fossil fuels. The number of Cattle required for meat which also contribute methane gas at a rate worse than oil. Less trees will have to be cut for housing benefiting the atmosphere. The environment will stabilize.
