Right. Now, let's use our thinking brains. As long as ISIS was making advances on the ground, they concentrated on doing just that. However, things have changed, Over the past year, they have lost something like 25% of the ground they have taken. For every gain they have made, they have lost more. This is bad from a funding and recruitment position. Which is why over the past few months they have been emphasizing terrorist attacks. They are trying to make headlines to keep the Saudi, Kuwaiti and Qatari dollars rolling in. And it helps with recruiting.

In short, the Paris attacks proves that ISIS/ISIL/Daesh has been contained militarily. If they weren't boxed in, they wouldn't be expending resources on terrorist attacks.
