When Reagan was shot in 1982 most of the workers in the country weren't that upset about it because Reagan had CRUSHED the economy and the job market with punitive interest rates.


Reagan had been president for three months when he was shot. If the economy and job market were crushed, it was because a Democrat was president for four destructive years before Reagan came in a saved the country.
